This design has been inspired by the character Papa Lazarou from The League Of Gentlemen. Papa Lazarou runs a circus and likes to capture women to take back to his circus to become his wives. He has many wives, so many wives in fact that he keeps them all in a book along with photographs. He doesn't call his wives by name though, instead he calls them all Dave.
